What can I do?
FMC is not only a non-profit, but it is a business. So, most of what anyone does at work or in their career might be something you can do at FMC as a volunteer! FMC patients need medical personnel from all fields and administrative support to help manage our clinic, patient information, and processing.
What do you need from me to start?
The first step is to let us know you are interested and what you are interested in doing, and when. You can complete our Volunteer forms by selecting the links above, and we will contact you with the next steps. Depending on what you are volunteering to do will determine what all needs to be done or forms completed so we can begin training, so you can make a difference in your own community.
How does the scheduling work?
It depends on what you want to do and where we have openings. Share with our Volunteer Coordinator what you want to do, where you want to serve, and when you want to volunteer. FMC offers remote work from home as well, so let us know if that is something you are interested in. Clinic times are found at the bottom of this page.
What are the next steps once I submit my info?
Once you submit your information, we should be in contact with you in a couple of days. Depending on what you have requested to do will depend on the on-boarding needing to prepare for your service. Complete the form found by clicking the Apply now link, and we will follow up with you.
How can I become trained?
We provide orientation and training for every volunteer position. We believe it is hard to volunteer when you don’t know how to serve best. We make sure each volunteer has everything they need, so they can do what they love. That is why we provide training, coaching, and support for each service area.
What is it like to serve at FMC?
This is one of the most exciting times to be at FMC! There is so much positive care we are providing as we fully embrace our mission and set our eyes on the future in becoming a “best in class” clinic for the working poor.
