MOBILE UNIT FACTS
The Mobile Unit was paid for by a TN Department of Health Grant. FMC was only one of five selected across the state. The Unit is 29 feet long, one exam room build, with a 10 foot awing. It has 150 hours of generator power before needing to recharge. 1 bathroom, full air & heat, can be plugged into a 20 or 30 amp outlet. The Unit was built by Mission Mobile Medical. The Mobile Unit is a part of a Community Engagement Strategy to increase community health while decreasing Health Disparities in Rural and Minority Communities. It is also a part of the larger disaster response effort with local towns, cities, and counties.
