Volunteer at the Clinic

Over 60 individuals volunteer at Free Medical Clinic. Without the help of our medical and non-medical volunteers who staff our clinic, we could not fulfill our mission to provide medical care for those people in our community who are uninsured and unable to pay for medical services. Our volunteers are the heart of the Clinic.

Come join us and make a difference in people’s lives!

Our Current Needs

At this time we are especially in need of:

  • Retired or practicing nurses–regular or volunteer license required
  • Retired or practicing primary care providers (MD’s, NP’s, PA’s)–regular or volunteer license required
  • Translators–Spanish
  • Office volunteers–requires basic knowledge of computers
  • Fundraising/event planning volunteers

Meet Some of our Volunteers

Betsy Bauer

FMC always needs volunteers and I wanted to help. I’ve been here since 2010.

Bebe Combs

I love working with the patients and the other volunteers. Everyone has a good attitude and it’s a pleasure to be a volunteer.

Linda Parker

I’ve been very blessed in my life and I want to give back to my community.

I chose to volunteer at the FMC after being asked to be on their Board of Directors. I am very fortunate to work for a company that is community oriented and allows me to participate in this program that helps others. I feel very strongly that this clinic makes a huge impact in the communities and in the lives of the people it serves. I want to help spread the word that the clinic is here to help and that all services are free to those who qualify. By reaching out, I hope we can help make a difference in someone’s life. Maria H.
